DATA QUALITY INFORMATION

2.4Horizontal positional accuracy
Same as Metro's Riv_poly data layer. The Riv_poly layer was intially registered to the US Geological Survey (USGS) 7.5 minute quadrangles, and then adjusted visually at approximately 1:10000 using the 1998 Spencer Gross aerial photography. Where photography was not available or banks and streambeds obscured, the USGS quad topography was used. Some of the major streams are registered to the tax lot map.

Lineage

Process Description
Derived from Metro's Riv_poly data layer which is an updated river and water body data layer of the Metro region created by using the previous Metro river and water body layer (an enhanced USGS hydrography layer which had been adjusted to taxlots). River and water body banks were adjusted or digitized at approximately 1:10000 using the 1998 Spencer Gross aerial photography. Where photography was not available or banks and riverbeds obscured, the USGS quad topography was used. The dataset has not been field checked.
